SPF Medium Level Impact Report
12 Months of Impact
Thanks to funding from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Medium Level Grant, Heol Chwarae Rรดl - Role Play Lane has continued to provide affordable, inclusive opportunities for children, families and community members over the past 12 months.
The funding has supported the day-to-day running of our community hub, enabling us to expand activities, respond to growing demand and ensure families continue to have access to welcoming spaces where they can learn, play, connect and thrive.
During the funding period, we delivered over 1,600 role play engagements, 558 ALN session engagements, more than 500 family event engagements, alongside craft, cookery, sensory, music and movement, gardening and Welsh language activities.
Our community survey, completed by 287 local families, highlighted the ongoing challenges many households continue to face:
67.6% reported struggling due to the cost-of-living crisis.
89.5% said funded sessions help them attend more regularly.
Around 237 ALN families engaged with our provision during the funding period.
The funding also supported our Assistant Community Hub Manager role, helping us coordinate activities, support volunteers, manage enquiries and ensure the smooth delivery of sessions throughout the year.
Most importantly, the funding has enabled us to continue creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where families can access affordable opportunities, build confidence, reduce isolation and create lasting memories together.
We would like to thank the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund for making this work possible and helping us continue supporting our community.
