Interlink Grant report - Graig Fatha Fund

Thanks to support from the Graig Fatha Wind Farm Community Fund, we successfully delivered four fully booked Family Cookery Sessions at Heol Chwarae Rol – Role Play Lane. Each session welcomed up to eight families, giving them the opportunity to cook nutritious meals together, eat on site or take food home, and enjoy relaxed family time through play, games, and shared activities.

The sessions were designed to reduce pressure on families during the cost-of-living crisis, offering affordable, inclusive experiences alongside support with travel where needed. Families told us how valuable it was to have a safe, welcoming space where everyone could eat, connect, and feel supported.

We were proud to work alongside Coleg y Cymoedd, whose students helped test recipes and design session adverts, gaining real-life skills in the process.

Overall, the project strengthened community connections, supported family well-being, and showed just how powerful food, play, and togetherness can be.
